KUI UMI – UMI Rector signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Director of the Center Sustainable Engineering Group (SEG) Curtin University, represented by the deputy director of SEG Dr. Wahidul Biswas in Technology Park Curtin University, 5th September 2016.
Dr. Biswas appreciates UMI visits for cooperation and seriousness. A Letter of Intent for collaboration between the two institutions in improving the academic quality and research is signed.
During the meeting, Prof. Masrurah also introduced UMI as the best private university outside Java and has established partnerships with both public and private institutions both at home and abroad.
Also, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology UMI Ir. Zakir Sabara, M.T., IPM said the meeting would be followed by an interview in October and November 2016 in which two lecturers from SEG will be present to teach at the Faculty of Industrial Technology UMI and workshops will also be implemented.
“It will be continued on research cooperation between the two institutions in the field of sustainability, particularly the area of water resources management,” he said.

Prof. Hambali Talib, S.H., M.H (Chairman of UMI Research Center (LP2S)), Hj. Setyawati Yani, S.T., MT., Ph.D. (Head of International Office UMI) and Dr.Hj. Nurjannah, S.S., M.Pd (Head of Human Relations UMI).
While from SEG Curtin University, attended by Dr. Behzad Ghadimi and researchers SEG from Philippine, India, and Indonesia.
