KUI UMI Holds Mentoring Outbound Student 2025

Makassar, 30 January 2025 – The International Affairs Office (KUI) of Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) has once again organized the Mentoring Outbound Student 2025 program as a preparatory initiative for students participating in international mobility programs. This hybrid event consists of 16 sessions, divided into two series. The first series runs from December 30, 2024, to January 28, 2025, while the second series will be held after the month of Ramadan.
The event was opened by the Head of KUI, with mentoring sessions led by the secretary and alumni of the 2024 IISMA program. The Head of KUI, Ir. Hj. Setyawati Yani, S.T., M.T., PhD., IPM., ASEAN Eng, stated in her speech that this program is part of UMI’s efforts to enhance students’ global competitiveness. “With this mentoring program, UMI students will be better prepared to face challenges and opportunities in the international arena,” said Setyawati Yani.
Additionally, the Secretary of KUI UMI, Salmia Syarifuddin, S.Pd., M.Pd., emphasized the importance of mental and academic readiness for students participating in the outbound program. “We want to ensure that students not only possess academic competence but are also able to adapt to new environments and build global networks,” she stated.
The event also featured alumni from UMI’s 2024 outbound program who shared their experiences and provided tips on navigating academic and social life abroad. Participants showed great enthusiasm during the discussion and Q&A sessions.
Through the Mentoring Outbound Student 2025 program, UMI continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting students’ international mobility and producing graduates who are ready to compete on a global scale.
