KUI UMI – The fourth day precisely, 6th September 2016, UMI delegation went on a trip with a visit to the Faculty of Engineering of Curtin University, Australia.
UMI delegation is received by Professor Andris Stelbovics (Vice Chancellor for Engineering and Mathematics), Professor Syed Islam (Dean of the International Faculty of Engineering), Professor Hongwei Wu (Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering), Dr. Hussein Znad (Programme Bachelor), and Saba Amanuel (Employee Cooperation Affairs).
Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, M.A (Rector UMI) accompanied by Ir H Zakir Sabara HW, MT, IPM (Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology UMI) appreciates Curtin University warm welcome.
“Insya Allah, this partnership accelerates UMI as the best private university in eastern Indonesia in realizing the vision of UMI towards World Class University,” said Prof. Masrurah.
During the meeting, discussed the points of cooperation that will be implemented by both parties. Agreed that the collaboration in academic and research will be executed soon. The cooperation will include the exchange of lecturers / researchers through visiting academic research from both sides, sending professors to study/do research, students’ mobility, joint research, joint conferences and joint publications.
Implementation on sending lecturers of Faculty of Engineering of Curtin University to FTI UMI began in 2017. It will take place for four (4) weeks for guest lecturers from Curtin University to teach at FTI.
