Makassar, 21 January 2025 – Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) once again participated in the Higher Education and Innovation Exhibition, Sulawesi Education & Techno Expo 2025, which took place over three days from January 21 to 23, 2025, at the Phinisi Ballroom, Claro Hotel Makassar.
At the exhibition, UMI’s booth attracted attention with a strong Arabian-themed ambiance, featuring international students from Palestine, Yemen, Sudan, and Nigeria. The Assistant 3 of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jufri, M.Si., M.Psi., praised the presence of these international students and stated that UMI deserves to be among the ranks of World Class Universities.
Additionally, UMI provided various services and entertainment at its booth, including free health and dental services, demonstrations of technologies such as Virtual Reality and robotics, as well as Mobile Legends E-Sports competitions, which attracted many students. The UMI booth also distributed hundreds of door prizes daily to visitors.
The Head of LLDIKTI Region IX, Dr. Andi Lukman, M.Si., appreciated UMI’s innovations in enlivening the exhibition and recognized it as the first university outside Java Island to achieve “Excellent” institutional accreditation.
UMI Rector, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Thalib, SH., MH., invited all students to visit the UMI booth and learn more about the university’s outstanding programs as it continues to pursue its vision of becoming a World Class University.
