Makassar, The Office of International Affairs (KUI) of the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) held a Guest Lecture event entitled “Abuse Is Not Love” at the 5th floor of the UMI Tower on December 5, 2024.
This event presented Dr. Livia Iskandar as the Director of the Pulih Foundation, and Sarah Vandenborgth from the French Embassy as speakers. Salmia Syarifuddin from the Office of International Affairs (KUI) UMI acted as a moderator in this discussion.
Dr. Livia explained “the importance of recognizing the signs of violence in relationships and how to create healthy relationships”. Meanwhile, Sarah Vandenborgth highlighted the collaboration of international roles in raising awareness of this issue.
This event featured students who were enthusiastic about discussing the prevention of violence in relationships. It is hoped that this activity can encourage more individuals to understand that true love is about respecting each other, not hurting each other.
